Surveyor - Associate Director - Residential Valuation

Job Description

An established and well-regarded property consultancy is seeking a Residential Surveyor to join its London-based Valuation & Advisory team. Applications are welcomed from Surveyors through to Associate Director level. Candidates who are close to completing their APC will also be considered.

This role focuses on delivering high-quality valuation and advisory work across individual residential assets. The team specialises in single houses and apartments, small residential investment buildings, and other one-off residential instructions.

The majority of work comprises loan security valuations, alongside advisory instructions for acquisition, tax, accounts, and internal decision-making purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake valuations of individual residential properties including flats, houses and small investment blocks for a range of purposes (lending, acquisition, tax, accounts and internal reporting).

  • Carry out detailed property inspections, including measurements, photography and collection of relevant site and tenure information.

  • Analyse comparable evidence and local market data to support valuation conclusions.

  • Prepare clear, accurate and well-reasoned valuation reports in accordance with RICS standards.

  • Manage multiple instructions simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met.

  • Maintain and develop strong client relationships to support repeat business.

  • Ensure compliance with RICS Valuation Global Standards (Red Book) and internal quality procedures.

  • Maintain complete, auditable and compliant case files.

  • Keep up to date with residential market trends across London and the South East.


Candidate Profile
  • MRICS qualified (or APC close to completion).

  • Experience in residential valuation.

  • Strong understanding of the London and South East residential markets.

  • Excellent analytical and report-writing skills.

  • High attention to detail and strong organisational ability.

  • Confident managing multiple smaller instructions concurrently.

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and valuation databases.
