The Support Worker/Care Assistant plays a vital role in providing *compassionate care and assistance* to individuals in need, including those in assisted living, living in the community , or senior care environments. This position involves supporting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence, personal care, domestic care, supporting with nutrition and fluids. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those they assist. *Duties* * Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming. * Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients. * Engage in patient care activities, offering companionship and emotional support. * Perform heavy lifting as required to assist clients with mobility or transfers. * Implement behaviour management strategies to support clients with specific needs. * Drive clients to appointments or social activities as necessary. * Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations. * Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel. *Skills* * Experience in assisted living or Personal care, dementia care is essential * Knowledge of first aid practices is beneficial for ensuring client safety. * Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively. * Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families. * Compassionate approach towards patient care, particularly in hospice settings. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. * A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as needed. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in various situations.
