Support Worker

Join our passionate team at M&D Care as a Support Worker in our service in SA44 6HS and make a real difference the lives of vulnerable adults. As a Support Worker, you will provide emotional and practical care in a residential setting. No experience is necessary as full training will be given, but having the right values is important to us. We are looking for candidates who are able to work ONLY NIGHTS and also able to work a FULL ROTA INCLUDING NIGHTS. This would suit individuals who would like to only work nights on a permanent basis as well as those able to take part in a full and equitable rota.
M&D Care are an established family-oriented business, which is run by a passionate team of professionals who deliver specialist, complex and bespoke care services throughout Southwest Wales for people with Learning Disability, Physical Disability and Mental Health needs. We believe that everyone should be given the opportunity to succeed and to achieve their goals and aspirations in life however big or small these may be.
Role and Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to individuals with mental health needs and learning disabilities.
Assist with daily living tasks including personal care, meal preparation, medication management, and shopping.
Promote independence, dignity, and well-being through engaging and meaningful activities.
Work autonomously while maintaining the safety and respect of those you support.
Comply with regulatory standards set by Social Care Wales and Care Inspectorate Wales.
Work flexibly on a rota basis, including early mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Additional Information
We can offer 22.5, 37.5 and 45 hour per week contracts
Shift patterns vary and include weekends and night shifts - for the permanent night workers, we will offer night shifts across 7 days per week
No prior experience required full training provided
Opportunity to gain a QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care after probation, with full support
Requirements
A genuine passion for providing excellent care
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Must be aged 18 or over
