Support Worker – Supported Living (Mental Health)

Location: Rawtenstall Contract: Temp to Perm Shifts: 08:00–20:00 Days / 20:00–08:00 Nights

About the Role

We are recruiting experienced Support Workers to join a supported living service in Rawtenstall, supporting adults with mental health needs, self-harm risks and challenging behaviours.

You’ll be working as part of a committed team providing high-quality, person-centred support that promotes safety, stability and positive outcomes.

What You Will Be Doing

Supporting individuals with mental health needs in a supported living environment

*

Promoting independence, emotional wellbeing and coping strategies

*

Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviours appropriately

*

Providing practical and emotional support, and maintaining professional boundaries

*

Following care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding requirements

*

Working collaboratively with the wider care and clinical team

Essential Experience:

Mental health support

*

Supported living

*

Experience with self-harm

*

Experience managing challenging behaviours

Person Specification:

*

Flexible and available throughout the week

*

Mainly day shifts (08:00–20:00), with opportunities for 1–2 night staff (20:00–08:00)

*

Strong character with excellent boundary setting

*

Reliable, resilient and calm under pressure

*

Willing to complete a temp-to-perm agreement

*

Driving licence preferred but not essential
