Female Support Worker – Day Care Centres (East London)

Location: East London Role Type: Day Care / Day Services Hours: Monday to Friday, 10am to 3pm (flexible days)

We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Female Support Workers to work within Day Care Centres across East London, supporting vulnerable adults in a safe, respectful, and empowering environment.

This role is open to female applicants only, in line with the Equality Act 2010 (Schedule 9, Occupational Requirement), due to the personal care, dignity, cultural and safeguarding needs of female service users.

As a Support Worker in a Day Care setting, you will:

* Support service users with daily activities, personal care, and wellbeing

* Promote independence, choice, and dignity

* Assist with social, recreational, and therapeutic activities

* Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment

* Work closely with colleagues and care professionals to deliver person-centred care

Essential Requirements

* Female applicants only (Occupational Requirement – Equality Act 2010)

* Minimum 12 months experience in a care or support role (Day Care, LD, Mental Health, Autism or similar in the UK)

* Right to work in the UK

* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

* Good communication and interpersonal skills

* A caring, patient and respectful approach

* Ability to work flexibly

Desirable (but not essential)

* NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care

* Experience supporting women with learning disabilities, mental health needs, or complex needs

* Knowledge of safeguarding and person-centred care
