Support Worker - Days Pay rate: £17 per hour - weekly and monthly pay is available
Shift pattern: TBC

A face-to-face Assessment Day for this role will take place on Wednesday the 25th of March 2026 that you will be invited to if successful from a 1st stage telephone interview. We are looking for caring, reliable and confident Support Workers to join a small, consistent 2:1 daytime team supporting an adult male who lives independently in his own property .He sustained a brain injury and now mobilises using a wheelchair, requiring full personal care , moving and handling , and safe use of hoisting equipment .
At times, he may express frustration verbally, especially when routines change or things feel difficult. With calm, consistent and patient support, he responds well and is able to settle quickly.He has some reduced cognitive understanding, but he has capacity and communicates his needs and preferences clearly.
Your support will help him lead a rich, enjoyable life, maintain his independence at home, and access his community confidently.

What youll be doing As a Day Support Worker, you will make a real difference by enabling him to live safely, comfortably and in line with his preferences. Your role will include:
Providing respectful, high-quality personal care
Supporting all moving and handling needs using hoisting equipment
Driving his automatic Motability vehicle to help him access the local community
Supporting him to enjoy activities, including regular visits to a hydrotherapy pool
Encouraging social interaction, structure and emotional wellbeing
Helping him prepare meals and maintain a tidy, organised home environment
Supporting clear communication in a way that works best for him
Promoting independence while offering reassurance and calm presence
This is a meaningful role where your support brings purpose, routine and enjoyment to his everyday life.

Experienced in personal care and hoisting / moving & handling
Confident supporting adults with brain injuries or similar needs
Patient, steady and able to manage occasional verbal aggression professionally
Good communicators who can build trust and maintain clear boundaries
Able to drive an automatic car (essential for accessing community activities)
Reliable, positive and committed to helping someone live a full and enriched life
