Your new role
Initially available on a 9 month basis with scope to be extended or made permanent, as a Supply Chain Planner, you'll be responsible for ensuring the seamless flow of materials across the production lifecycle. You'll manage material availability, monitor inventory levels, and coordinate with suppliers to meet production schedules. Key responsibilities include:
Creating and maintaining accurate material plans aligned with customer demand and production forecasts
Managing supplier schedules and resolving delivery issues to avoid production delays
Monitoring inventory levels and implementing strategies to optimise stock holding
Collaborating with cross-functional teams including procurement, production, and logistics
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to supply chain efficiency
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you'll bring: a background in engineering or technical manufacturing would be advantageous, but not essential.
Proven experience in supply chain or material planning within a manufacturing setting.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MRP/ERP systems
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
A proactive mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
This is a hands-on role that requires strategic thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
