Supply Chain Manager Salary: up to £50,000 per year bonus structure benefits Location: Blackpool Area – Office Based Hours: Monday to Friday, no weekends About the Company Our client is a UK-based manufacturer and market leader in the design and supply of environmental and safety products. They are currently seeking a strategic and experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead the purchasing function and optimise the supply chain across multiple supplier relationships. Role Overview This is a critical leadership position focused on driving operational efficiency, cost effectiveness and ESG-aligned practices throughout the supply chain. The role involves managing a well-established purchasing team and working closely with key suppliers and internal departments to ensure the seamless flow of parts and materials into production and warehouse operations. This opportunity would suit a proactive and commercially minded professional who brings both vision and hands-on experience to the procurement process, with a passion for sustainability and innovation. Key Responsibilities Lead the day-to-day operations of the purchasing department Manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluations and commercial negotiations Source and onboard new suppliers as needed Collaborate with existing suppliers to ensure compliance with ethical sourcing and sustainability standards Oversee demand forecasting, inventory planning, and purchasing schedules Prepare and manage competitive tenders and supplier selection processes Liaise with cross-functional teams including Product Design, R&D, Sales and QA Implement supplier contingency planning and manage supply chain risk Ideal Candidate Profile Minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain management Proven track record of driving cost savings and improving purchasing operations Experience leading a team within a manufacturing or production-based environment CIPS qualified or part-qualified (or equivalent procurement accreditation) Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (desirable) Commercially astute with a strong understanding of ESG and sustainability standards Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills Able to think strategically and work proactively in a fast-paced environment High level of attention to detail and analytical thinking Confident IT and data analysis skills Salary & Benefits Competitive, based on experience 33 days annual holiday (rising to 38 with service) Buy/sell up to 5 days holiday each year Flexible holiday booking in 30-minute increments Company performance bonuses Final salary pension scheme (after 2 years’ service) NEST pension (from 3 months) Life insurance (after 2 years) Private health insurance (after 1 year) Health cashback plan Company sick pay scheme Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) Compassionate leave and relocation loans Long service awards Subsidised on-site café and social spaces Free on-site parking EV charging points (at cost) Cycle to Work scheme On-site gym and changing facilities Paid charity days and fundraising initiatives Regular company events and team-building activities Hybrid/flexitime working pattern Career development and promotion opportunities Professional study support Comprehensive onboarding and training Our client is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all backgrounds.
