Job Description
Manager, Commercial Supply Chain
Requisition Title: Manager, Commercial Supply Chain, UK
Role Duration: 6 months to start, potentially through the end of 2026.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Manager to provide temporary support for local tactical UK projects. This role has been created to cover a gap due to a reorganisation and an increase in workload. The successful candidate will be expected to "hit the ground running" and maintain close alignment with UK and Europe contacts.
Key Details & Location
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday. On-Site Requirements: 70/30 Rule (70% on-site, 30% remote). Travel: Expected within the UK (Harwell and London) to assist one 3rd party (3PL). Reporting Line: Direct manager resides in Basel, Switzerland.
Candidate Requirements
Must-Have Skills:
Proven experience with diverse stakeholders. Strong technical knowledge of supply chain topics. Ability to communicate effectively with the commercial team (who lack supply chain expertise). Proactive mindset with the ability to "hit the ground running."
Skills & Experience:
Exceptional understanding of the Pharma industry and supply chain needs is strongly (Biotech experience is a plus). Open to a fast-learner with strong soft skills if industry-specific experience is limited. GxP Knowledge: Basic knowledge of cGxP's is required.
