Your new role
We are looking for a talented individual to join our client's team as a Supply Chain Coordinator. You should have previous experience working in a similar role, be energetic, and motivated to work on your own initiative or as part of the team. The role is to assist in providing the production team with a full and complete inventory of parts, at specified quality, at a competitive price, without disruption to the company's production schedule and in line with company business plans and budgets. Help to provide Production and Spares departments with all parts required on-time and within budget to ensure we meet their customers' requirements. Develop relationships with suppliers to ensure we receive high-quality parts at the best possible price within the required timeframe. Raise purchase orders for the business and expedite suppliers for outstanding purchase orders. Ensure all price and quantity discrepancies are reviewed and corrected in a timely manner. Assist in developing programmes to monitor supplier performance. Identify and evaluate potential new suppliers. Attend trade shows and make site visits to suppliers, to ensure a high-level of expertise is maintained. Assist in the transition and implementation of a new ERP system into the business. Attend production meetings to give an update on parts that have yet to be delivered.
What you'll need to succeed
Experience working in the supply chain or in a similar role within an Engineering or Manufacturing organisation. Experience working with ERP systems and understanding engineering drawings would be an advantage. Competent in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with excellent interpersonal skills. A proven track record of cost savings and vendor performance management. What you'll get in return
They are offering a salary of between 37,000 and 41,000 plus a company bonus scheme. They will match 5% employee contributions to your pension plus 32 days annual leave.
