Supplier Quality Engineer

Bristol location

£40,000 - £43,000 plus bonus and benefits


A Supplier Quality Engineer is wanted on a permanent basis by a global client of ours who are at the forefront of their industry. The successful candidate will ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality components, materials, and services from suppliers, thereby guaranteeing the reliability, safety, and performance of products.


This is a permanent opportunity that includes a base salary of up to £43,000 plus bonus and benefits.


Overview of the Supplier Quality Engineer role:

  • Work within the Supplier Quality team to ensure Supplier performance is regularly reported and that appropriate and timely corrective actions are implemented
  • Make continuous improvement plans and actions to enhance part`s quality and reduce number of non-conformities and the cost of poor quality.
  • Ensure suppliers are proactive on quality improvement actions with effective communication skills.


Key skills and qualifications required for the Supplier Quality Engineer role:

  • Have electrical/mechanical engineering experience with clear basic knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Be a certified ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor
  • Experience of quality standards such as ISO9001, APQP, SPC, PPAP and quality tools.
  • Knowledge of various quality system methodologies, such as: SPC, PPAP, 8D, Lean, 5 Why's, Pareto analysis, 6-Sigma, 8D, FMEA, Cause & Effect quality tools.
