Supplier Quality Engineer Dorset Innovation Park, Winfrith (Dorchester) Permanent About the Role TKMS ATLAS UK is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join the Operations team and support the improvement of supplier quality across the supply chain. This role focuses on ensuring suppliers meet the required quality standards from **initial approval through to ongoing monitoring and improvement**. You'll work closely with procurement, engineering, and suppliers to help resolve quality issues and improve supplier performance. The position reports to the Quality Manager- Supply Chain and offers the opportunity to work within a technically advanced maritime defence environment. Key Responsibilities Conduct supplier audits, including initial approval and ongoing surveillanceManage supplier non-conformances and root cause investigationsSupport supplier development and improvement activitiesWork with Procurement on supplier performance and improvement strategiesReview and support First Article and product audits (FCA/PCA)Assist with new product introduction (NPI) into the supply chainDevelop and monitor supplier quality metrics and performance trendsWork with engineering teams and suppliers to resolve design and production quality issuesDevelop supplier quality requirements and risk-based audit schedulesBuild strong working relationships with suppliers to drive continuous improvement Skills and Experience We're looking for someone with experience in manufacturing or quality engineering, ideally within a regulated engineering environment. Essential Experience working in manufacturing, production, or quality engineeringKnowledge of ISO9001 and AS9102 (AS9100 desirable)Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action (8D or similar)Good written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work both independently and within a team Desirable Experience in supplier quality managementPractical experience conducting supplier auditsKnowledge of APQP, configuration control, and change managementExperience auditing special manufacturing processesAuditor or Lead Auditor qualification (or willingness to obtain one) Personal Attributes Proactive and able to take initiativeStrong problem-solving mindsetComfortable managing multiple prioritiesResilient and confident when enforcing quality standardsFocused on delivering high-quality outcomes and customer satisfactionWilling to travel when required Additional Information Candidates must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).TKMS ATLAS UK is an equal opportunities employer.JBRP1_UKTJ
