Job Description
Owen Daniels are supporting aleading Engineering business in recruiting for a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to join the busiess on a full-time basis.\n\nAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven Senior Supplier / Front End Quality Engineer to join a high-performing Customer Quality / Customer Advocate function within a globally operating advanced engineering business.\n\n This is a highly visible role reporting into senior quality leadership, where you will play a critical part in driving supply chain quality, supplier performance and right-first-time culture across a complex and demanding manufacturing environment. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Materials, Manufacturing and a diverse supplier base to ensure materials, components and services consistently meet ISO9001 requirements, regulatory standards and best-practice quality expectations.\n If you thrive on influencing without authority, enjoy developing suppliers and teams, and want to leave a lasting impact on quality performance, this role offers genuine scope and challenge.\n The Role As Senior Supplier / Front End Quality Engineer, you will:\n\nPartner with Engineering and Materials teams to evaluate and approve new suppliers, ensuring capability, compliance and robustness of processes\nMonitor, analyse and report supplier performance using quality dashboards and defined KPIs, providing clear internal and external feedback\nLead monthly supplier development reviews, focusing on underperforming suppliers and driving corrective and preventive action plans\nChampion a right-first-time and continuous improvement culture across the supply chain\nSupport effective root cause analysis and CAPA for non-conformances, rejects and customer issues\nDesign and deliver a supplier audit programme, identifying risks and improvement opportunities\nMaintain accurate supplier quality documentation within the Quality Management SystemAbout You You’ll be a confident quality professional with strong technical credibility and the ability to influence at all levels.\n\n Essential:\n\nDegree or HND in an Engineering discipline\nExtensive experience working within an ISO9001 Quality Management System\nProven background in supplier development and supplier quality engineering\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail\nExperience conducting internal and supplier audits\nConfident communicator, comfortable engaging with suppliers and senior stakeholders\nHands-on experience with quality and improvement tools (e.g. PDCA, FMEA, 5 Whys, Pareto, Ishikawa)\nProficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelDesirable:\n\nExperience with ERP systems and statistical tools\nKnowledge of ISO14001 and/or ISO17025\nUnderstanding of mechanical, electrical, electronic or software-based productsBenefits:\n\nGenerous holiday allowance\nFlexible working practices and early Friday finishes\nStrong onboarding and structured support\nPension scheme and life assurance\nOptional private healthcare\nInvestment in professional development, mentoring and progression\nInclusive, collaborative working environment with regular social and wellbeing initiativesWhy Apply?
