Responsibilities:
Work directly with the Assembly Manager, Engineering Manager, and Crew Chief to organize workflow within the department.
Primary Areas : Gearboxes, Uprights, Driveshafts, Brakes, Wheel Guns, Miscellaneous Machine Shop Work, Monoballs.
Define and communicate clear daily and weekly goals with Sub Assembly team members.
Has the overall responsibility to meet quality and technical compliance of build specifications defined by the assembly manager and engineering group.
Responsible for equipment in the machine shop and solvent room. Ensuring machines are within specifications by the manufacturer and proper operation.
Organize repair work and regular maintenance with outside vendors as needed.
Maintain Annual Budget with Assembly Manager.
Review quarterly with Accounting and Competition Director.
Create usage, inspection and service intervals for Components prepared in Sub-Assembly.
Including worklist generation pre and post event.
Order parts to complete build and maintenance requirements.
Documentation and communication of issues.
Maintain service records including mileage tracking and prediction.
Define inventory levels to reach and maintain target levels with Assembly Manager. Responsible to meet and stay within those targets.
Understand and ensure that components are compliant for mandatory series rules governing the components.
Work with Assembly Manager with series specific components like instrumented input shaft.
Prepare the necessary information to communicate with outside vendors about components or products. Examples: Xtrac, Dallara, Pankl, Shell, Paoli, Metalore
Maintaining and enhancing inter-departmental relationships.
Responsible for planning and workload management machine shop, fab shop, parts department.
Manage surface finish process and equipment.
Rem, chemical ordering and usage.
Preparation of parts for outside vendors.
Coordinate and execute development testing internally and externally for components, including on site gearbox testing.
Ensure all safety measures are being followed by team members and that the equipment is functioning with necessary safety guards.
Drive innovation and improve operational efficiency within the team.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
Participate in interview processes for prospective shop floor employees.
Minimum Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a high school diploma.
.Minimum 10 years of technical experience in professional motorsport or related field
Motorsports technician/crew chief background.
IndyCar, NASCAR, IMSA, WEC or F1 championships preferred.
Minimum 10 years of Professional motorsports track experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement required.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Effective communication and collaboration skills required.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
Excellent leadership and mentoring skills, with a passion for developing team members required.

PowerBi desired.
Experience leading a technician’s group.
