Structural Steel Platers – Hartlepool

Rates:
£24 basic, £35 OT 1, £46 OT 2

Basic hours:
44 per week, day shift Monday to Friday
Minimum 6 hours overtime per week

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled structural steel Plater to join our clients busy fabrication shop.

Responsibilities

* Operate welding equipment, to fabricate metal components as per specifications.

* Utilise power tools and hand tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials.

* Read and interpret technical drawings.

* Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations.

* Collaborate with team members to improve fabrication processes and efficiency.

* Conduct basic mathematical calculations to ensure accurate measurements and dimensions during fabrication.

Requirements

* Proven experience in plating, welding and fabrication, with a strong understanding of mechanical knowledge.

* Familiarity with structural steel work is highly desirable.

* Proficient in using overhead cranes.

* Proficient in using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.

* Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations are essential.

* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.

* Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

* A proactive approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting during the fabrication process
