We are seeking a Offshore Structural (Jacket) Engineer for a 6-month assignment, based in Leatherhead, Surrey

Purpose of the Role

As a Technical Advisor - Offshore structural, you will support the lead related preparation of engineering deliverables within the scope assigned:


Key Responsibilities / Skills

  • Design basis, material and construction specifications
  • Independently perform engineering analyses for operational (inservice) phase (inplace, fatigue, seismic), non-operational phase (loadout, transportation, launch, upending and setdown) and accidental phase (boat impact, ALE earthquake, pushover).
  • Perform detailed design of jacket appurtenances
  • Review analyses/ calculations performed by others, provide technical guidance and proactively resolve any discrepancies
  • Liaise with other disciplines, client and 3rd party contractors
  • Coordinate with project team members across global offices to deliver the tasks within allotted timelines and budgets.
  • Degree in Structural Engineering Design
  • Minimum experience of 12 years having excellent technical and practical engineering skills and able to consistently deliver on quality and schedule.
  • Proficient user of SESAM GENIE and SESAM suite of software
  • Perform non-linear FEA using ABAQUS and USFOS is desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of latest revisions of offshore design codes such as ISO 19901, EN 19902 and applicable DNV & NORSOK codes is a must.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks
  • Ability to work both independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment
