A well-established, independent civil & structural engineering consultancy is looking to hire a Structural Engineer to join its growing buildings team. You'll work on a varied portfolio of UK projects across sectors such as residential, education, healthcare, leisure and commercial, supporting delivery from early concept through to construction. What you'll be doing Producing structural designs, calculations and technical reports (steel, concrete, masonry and timber) Supporting scheme development, options appraisals and detailed design Coordinating with architects, contractors and other consultants to ensure practical, buildable solutions Assisting with drawing/specification production and design information reviews Contributing to project delivery, including responding to site queries and attending meetings when required Working within modern digital workflows Requirements Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering Experience delivering UK building structures projects Familiarity with common analysis/design tools (e.g. Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, Robot, ETABS, etc.) Understanding of UK codes/standards Strong communication skills and a collaborative, proactive approach Working towards chartership (ICE/IStructE) or already Chartered (depending on level) What's on offer Competitive salary plus benefits Hybrid working and flexible hours Structured support toward ICE/IStructE chartership and ongoing CPD Exposure to a broad range of projects and clear progression opportunities Friendly, close-knit consultancy environment with strong technical mentorship To be considered please apply directly or contact Abi on (phone number removed) for a confidential discussion
