Role: Structural Design Engineer

Salary: £36,000 to £45,000

We’re looking for a driven Structural Design Engineer to join our Clients’ Alfreton team – someone with the curiosity and skill to shape projects from concept through to delivery across a wide range of sectors, including commercial, residential, life science, education, retail, hospitality, sports and leisure.

You’ll take ownership of detailed design to meet with design and construction programmes, working closely with other disciplines to coordinate information and ensure seamless integration across the project team. You’ll be part of a team working on some of the most complex and compelling buildings.

The role and responsibilities:

As a Structural Design Engineer your responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

* Carrying out structural surveys of building/desk studies and providing initial advice on any issues that may arise

* Preparing conceptual and outline designs for structural schemes with support of the wider team

* Preparing detailed design calculations to Eurocode and relevant design guidance notes using relevant 3D software packages

* Preparing detailed design drawings and specifications for tender purposes

* Responding to client requests for information

* Supporting the production of construction information for issue to contractors
