With offices located throughout the UK and Ireland, they are committed to engineering excellence, technical innovation, and outstanding client service.To support continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Design Engineer to join their expanding structural engineering team in Glasgow.Role OverviewAs a Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the structural analysis and design of a wide variety of building and civil engineering projects. Working closely with senior engineers, you will be responsible for producing high-quality design work, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to the successful delivery of projects from initial concept through to construction.Candidate ProfileWe are looking for a driven and technically skilled individual based in Scotland with the following attributes:Qualifications & ExperienceHonours degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.Minimum of 3 years experience in a design office environment.Ambition and commitment to achieving chartership with ICE or IStructE.Technical SkillsStrong understanding of engineering principles and relevant codes of practice.Experience designing in concrete, steel, masonry, and timber.Proficient in key software packages such as CADS, Tekla, SCIA, STRAP, TEDDS, Fastrack, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar.Solid IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.Good working knowledge of UK design codes and industry standards.Professional AttributesAbility to manage multiple tasks and work effectively to tight deadlines.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Understanding of the full project delivery process, including familiarity with NEC Contracts.Demonstrated commitment to CPD and maintaining professional competence.Proactive, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a dynamic environment.Whats on OfferOur client offers a comprehensive remuneration package tailored to experience, including:Competitive salaryCompany pension schemeHybrid working arrangementsOpportunities for ongoing training, development, and career progressionWhy Join Our Client?This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a highly progressive engineering consultancy that invests heavily in modern technology and fosters a genuinely collaborative working culture.
