Strategy & Partnerships Lead

We are seeking an interim Strategy & Partnerships Lead to play a hands-on role in coordinating this work and ensuring the council’s strategic priorities translate into clear delivery plans and partnership activity.

Key responsibilities

* Lead development of the council’s next Council Delivery Plan (CDP).

* Support the refresh of the corporate strategy in the context of the election and potential new administration.

* Coordinate strategic planning activity across departments.

* Strengthen and manage relationships with key borough and regional partners.

* Initiate and support policy-led change activity linked to the emerging Target Operating Model and transformation programme.

* Produce strategic briefings and analysis to support senior leadership decision making.

We are looking for someone who

* Has strong experience in corporate strategy, policy or planning.

* Is comfortable operating in a politically aware environment.

* Can move between strategy and practical delivery.

* Has strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.

* Brings a structured, hands-on approach to driving strategic work forward
