What we are looking for We’re looking for a Strategy Director to lead strategic thinking and delivery across key B2B client accounts during a 10‑month maternity cover (June 2026 – April 2027). This role brings clarity, direction, and ambition to complex client challenges, shaping impactful marketing strategies that drive measurable growth. What you will do
Translate complex business challenges into clear, compelling, and actionable marketing strategies. Set the direction for client engagements, ensuring every piece of work aligns with meaningful commercial outcomes. Challenge client briefs constructively, pushing for sharper thinking and stronger solutions. Build senior relationships with marketing, sales, and product stakeholders, earning trust through insight and impact. Guide clients on where to focus, when to pivot, and how to unlock greater value from marketing. Lead high‑impact workshops and strategic conversations that align stakeholders and inspire action. Lead strategy across ABM programmes and broader brand/positioning projects. Ensure all strategic outputs are clear, insight‑driven, and meet a consistent standard of excellence. Use data, insights, and emerging tools (including AI) to enhance strategic thinking and outputs. Turn human insights into strategic direction that sparks powerful, resonant creative work. Partner with creative, media, data, and delivery teams to ensure strategy translates into impactful execution. Develop clear, inspiring creative briefs that enable bold, distinctive, and effective ideas. Champion integration across channels, disciplines, and markets to deliver cohesive programmes. Provide clear direction and guardrails that empower teams to deliver their best work. Identify opportunities to grow accounts through stronger strategy, new opportunities, and expanded scopes. Contribute to new business and RFP responses where relevant. Help clients see the value of strategic investment and its role in driving growth.
Requirements
A sharp, commercially minded strategist who can connect big‑picture thinking with practical action. Naturally curious, always looking to challenge assumptions and push thinking further. A confident communicator who can influence senior stakeholders with clarity and credibility. Consultative in approach, comfortable challenging clients and guiding them toward better outcomes. Collaborative and energized by working across disciplines to make great ideas happen. Able to bridge strategy and creativity; crafting briefs and insights that spark powerful ideas and resonate on a human, emotional level. Adaptable and comfortable navigating ambiguity, bringing structure and clarity where it’s needed most. Proactive in exploring how AI and new tools can elevate strategy and ways of working. Strong experience in B2B marketing strategy, ideally within an agency environment. Proven ability to lead both ABM programs and broader brand/positioning projects. Experience working with senior client stakeholders (up to CMO level) and acting as a strategic advisor. Track record of developing strategies that deliver measurable commercial impact. Confidence working across multiple clients and managing competing priorities. Familiarity with using AI tools to support, enhance, or accelerate strategic work.

Contract: 10‑month maternity cover Timing: Mid‑June 2026 – Mid‑April 2027 Location: London‑based Travel: Approximately once per month to London
