Job Title:        Strategic Finance Manager 6-month FTC Location:      Paisley, Renfrewshire / Hybrid Working Available Salary:           £65,000 to £70,000 DOE

The Opportunity
As Strategic Finance Manager, you will be a key member of the senior leadership team, supporting the Head of Finance & Corporate Services and deputising where necessary. You’ll provide expert financial advice and strategic insight to support sound decision-making across the organisation and lead core financial functions, planning, analysis and reporting. You’ll operate in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment that values innovation, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-level financial analysis, insight and reports to the Board, senior management, and stakeholders
Oversee the preparation of management accounts, forecasts, statutory accounts, and audit processes
Lead the development and implementation of financial and risk management strategies
Manage the preparation of revenue and capital budgets, long-term financial plans, and investment appraisals
Deliver continuous improvements to financial systems and controls
Provide financial modelling, business case development, and support for transformational projects
Ensure compliance with tax, VAT, and regulatory obligations
Identify and pursue external funding opportunities aligned with organisational objectives
Manage and support a high-performing finance team
About You
You are a qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ICAS) with significant experience in financial leadership within a complex or public sector environment. You bring a strategic mindset, excellent analytical skills, and a hands-on approach to financial operations. You are confident leading multidisciplinary teams and can communicate complex financial information clearly and persuasively to a range of audiences.
You will also bring:
Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting at an organisational level
Strong knowledge of financial systems, controls, and statutory reporting requirements
Experience working with Boards and preparing governance reports
Ability to manage change and drive continuous improvement
Experience identifying external funding and managing public/charitable grants (desirable)
