Location: Kettering
Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday – day shift

Overview
We are seeking a proactive and reliable Stores Operative to join a busy stores department within a manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role within a small team, supporting goods-in, dispatch, and stock control activities.
The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years’ experience in a similar role and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical environment.

Key Responsibilities

Check incoming goods against delivery notes within agreed timeframes
Book in deliveries and update stock on internal systems
Pick, pack, and dispatch goods in line with purchase orders
Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient stores area
Raise documentation/invoices for outgoing deliveries
Carry out regular stock takes and maintain accurate inventory records
Issue materials to production teams
Support continuous improvement of processes and workflows
Assist in producing weekly/monthly performance and stock reports
Provide support to the cutting department during peak periods or absences
About the Role

This is a physically active position, involving manual handling and lifting (within reasonable limits). A good level of fitness is required to carry out daily tasks safely and effectively.
You will play a key role in ensuring stock accuracy, operational efficiency, and smooth workflow across departments.
About You

Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or stock control role
Familiarity with inventory systems (e.g. ERP or SAP)
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and email
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
