The role has responsibility for the day-to-day smooth operation of Stores and Warehouse, working closely with the Warehouse, Sales Operations, Purchasing and Manufacturing teams to ensure that planned weekly shipments are achieved.The role is ideally suited to those with prior experience of running Inventory/Stores/Warehouse operations, interacting with an ERP system, and defining systems and processes such as cycle counting to maintain stock accuracy, picking and inventory management in line with ISO 9001 certification, and logistics ensuring orders are delivered to schedule.Line management of a small team will be a key element of this role, encompassing regular one to one check-ins, objective setting and reviews. Daily supervision of the team will include overseeing and prioritising work programmes to ensure the team work to schedule and uphold the high-quality standards required.Our Manufacturing and Operations teams are close knit and highly motivated with a keen interest in the products they create. The company’s close ties to the entertainment industry bring a variety of benefits and we offer a very friendly, flexible, and supportive working environment.Key ResponsibilitiesGoods In Processing; initial inspection ensuring parts match description, quantity and quality required and actioning any non-conformitiesGoods Out Supervision; overseeing daily shipping and warehousing activityPicking and supervising warehouse team to pick parts for work orders, sales orders and RMA repairsEnsuring that correct parts are picked and supplied to meet the Work Order scheduleDeveloping and communicating the parts and stores picking process, in line with ISO 9001Processing and developing the part defect procedures, including spare part / RMA part transfers and defective part returns to suppliersOverseeing and conducting regular cycle counts and reconciliations to ensure inventory is accurateAttending cross-functional meetings to manage inventory efficiently to required schedules, providing regular reports on key issuesSupervising and motivating a small team, to ensure their performance is appropriate for their rolesLine management of the team, encompassing regular one to one check-ins, objective setting and reviewsDeveloping and training the team on any changes to processes / systemsEnsuring that correct defined processes are adhered to, collaborating with colleagues across Operations, Purchasing and Manufacturing to identify any required improvementsKeeping the warehouse and stores working environment well maintained and managedEssential QualificationsFive years’ experience in a warehouse environment or in a similar roleAt least 1 years’ experience line managing one or more peopleExperience of ERP/MRP SystemsUnderstanding of product test cycles and the ability to balance workload flexibly to meet changing priorities, based on incoming ordersExperience implementing and maintaining Lean Manufacturing | 5SStrong financial understanding of implications of inventory management decisionsFlexible communication, alongside excellent and empathic people skillsThe ability to understand and contribute to the company’s longer-term goals, balanced with first-hand experience of practical tasks and a willingness to assist team members flexibly when requiredThe capacity to manage own time effectively, prioritising conflicting tasks as appropriate and seeking guidance as neededExcellent Microsoft Office skills with ability to produce high quality documentation when requiredTechnical Qualification in Manufacturing, Business, Engineering, Logistics, Systems Electronics or similarKnowledge of ISO 9001NetSuite ERP experienceInterest in and knowledge of, video or lighting for live entertainment
