Description
As a site based Backup/ Storage Engineer, you will be responsible for the proactive and reactive maintenance and management of the backup infrastructure ensuring service levels are maintained and that the backup infrastructure is robust and available. The role will require a strong work ethic and a flexible, pragmatic approach to working. The ideal candidate will have great communication skills and they will have a keen interest in innovation alongside a willingness to expand their knowledge across the technology. They should be able to work independently as well as part of a Team, engaging with other teams, and managers.
Responsibilities
Perform daily monitoring and validation of backup operations for over 200 Servers across various platforms.
Investigate and resolve backup failures and issues.
Production and review of daily reports and addressing backup failures.
