Job Description

We’re looking for a highly organised Stock Control & Purchasing Coordinator to play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly. \n  \n You’ll be at the heart of our supply chain—making sure stock levels are accurate, purchase orders are timely, goods flow efficiently in and out of the business, and the stores environment is safe, tidy, and well-organised.\n \nIf you enjoy working with systems, suppliers, and physical stock—and take pride in accuracy, organisation, and problem-solving—this could be a great fit.\n\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\n\nStock Control\n\nMaintain accurate stock records and inventory levels across the business\nOrganise stock locations for efficient storage and easy retrieval\nManage batch-controlled and expiry-dated stock in line with procedures\nIdentify and isolate obsolete, damaged, or faulty stock using quarantine processes\nSupport regular stock counts and auditsPurchasing & Purchase Ordering\n\nRaise purchase orders for stock replenishment and ad-hoc requirements\nMonitor stock levels and run weekly reports to ensure uninterrupted supply\nLiaise with suppliers on availability, pricing, and delivery schedules\nTrack purchase orders and proactively chase overdue deliveries\nMaintain accurate re-order levels within the ordering system\nBuild and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers\nProcess supplier invoices and support purchasing administrationGoods In\n\nReceive, inspect, and verify incoming goods for accuracy and condition\nBook goods into the system in line with Goods In procedures\nReport shortages, damages, or discrepancies promptly\nPut stock away efficiently and safely in designated locationsPicking, Dispatch & Goods Out\n\nAccurately pick items against sales orders, works orders, and service requests\nFollow established picking and dispatch procedures\nPackage goods securely and prepare them for courier collection\nCoordinate with couriers to ensure timely despatch\nFlag and report any picking discrepancies or shortagesHealth, Safety & Housekeeping\n\nMaintain a clean, organised, and safe stores environment\nWork safely and responsibly at all times, following health, safety, and environmental standards\nWho You’ll Work With\n\nInternal teams across production, operations, and finance\nExternal suppliers for purchasing and deliveries\nCourier partners supporting goods despatch\nWhat We’re Looking For\nSkills & Experience\n\nExperience in stock control, stores, or warehouse operations\nUnderstanding of purchasing and purchase order processes\nHands-on experience with goods inwards and dispatch\nStrong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail\nAbility to follow procedures and meet deadlines\nConfident communicator with both internal teams and external suppliersPersonal Attributes\n\nReliable, well-organised, and methodical\nProactive, with a practical problem-solving mindset\nComfortable working independently and as part of a team\nCommitted to health, safety, and quality standards\nCompany benefits\n\n38 per week, Mon-Thurs 8.00am to 4.30pm with half an hour unpaid lunch break; Friday 8.00am to 2pm \n\n26 days a year, plus statutory public holidays, with an additional day per year of service, up to a maximum of 5 extra days/year\n\nAnnual Leave can also be booked on an hourly basis.\n5% Contributory Group Personal Pension Scheme. You can opt to upgrade your contribution by 1%, our contribution will also then increase by 1% to 6%.\nReferences available on request
