Astute Peoples Power team are working exclusively with Encompass Digital Media, a global technology provider who operate a relay station & power station located in the Ascension Islands. This unique opportunity is responsible for overseeing the operation & maintenance of the relay station, power plant and supporting assets which provides Southern Africa with the BBC World News Service. The Islands generating station comprises of 5 diesel engines, five wind turbines, four reverse osmosis plants and 8 liquid storage tanks. In the near future they are looking at installing battery storage systems and solar panels to further reduce their reliance on diesel generation.
