Astute Peoples Power team are working exclusively with Encompass Digital Media, a global technology provider who operate a relay station & power station located in the Ascension Islands.
This unique opportunity is responsible for overseeing the operation & maintenance of the relay station, power plant and supporting assets which provides Southern Africa with the BBC World News Service. The Islands generating station comprises of 5 diesel engines, five wind turbines, four reverse osmosis plants and 8 liquid storage tanks.
In the near future they are looking at installing battery storage systems and solar panels to further reduce their reliance on diesel generation.

Responsibilities and duties of the Station Manager role: As the Station Manager you will be::
Responsible for the safe & effective management of the islands Relay & Power Station including staff & families. Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations & SLA's. Acting as Technical Authority for all engineering matters across Electrical, Mechanical, RF, Water & Power issues.
