Static Shift Engineer (Electrical Bias) – Canary Wharf\n\nWe’re currently recruiting for an Electrical Bias Shift Engineer to join a professional landlord-side engineering team across a prestigious commercial building in Canary Wharf.\n\nThe Role\n\nYou’ll be part of a dedicated on-site engineering team responsible for maintaining landlord systems within a large commercial building. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on, traditional engineering environment, with a strong focus on planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and fault finding rather than working on brand-new, warranty-covered equipment.\n\nKey Details\n\nLarge commercial property environment (landlord side)\nTeam of 8 engineers, split into 2 teams of 4\nShift pattern: 4 on / 4 off (7am–7pm)\nAlways working in pairs for safety and efficiency\nAdditional mobile team supporting tenant-related issues\nResponsibilities\n\nCarry out planned preventative maintenance PPM as tasked by building coordinator.\nFault finding and remedial works across electrical and mechanical plant\nEnsure all systems operate safely and efficiently\nRespond to reactive maintenance tasks\nWork collaboratively within a structured engineering team\nRequirements\n\nElectrically qualified – NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Level 1 & 2, or equivalent\n18th Edition Wiring Regulations\nExperience within commercial building maintenance\nStrong fault-finding ability and practical mindset\nReliable, team-focused, and proactive\nPackage\n\nSalary: £49,026 with 3% shift allowance\nOvertime available\n25 days holiday + bank with additional buy and sell schemes\nPrivate pension contribution\nBupa healthcare scheme\nFull Uniform, PPE and Specialist Tools provided\nYearly salary increases\nYearly Bonus Schemes\n20% discount on all food across Canary Wharf\nSupport learning development for all engineers\nEnhance parental leave, sick pay and compassionate leave\nTo apply, please send a copy of your most updated CV
