OverviewSr. Human Resources Business Partner role at OpenText in Reading, England, United Kingdom. The Senior HRBP will act as a strategic advisor to senior leaders within a fast-paced technology environment, supporting a UK workforce of 500+ employees. This role is pivotal in aligning people strategies with business objectives, driving organizational effectiveness, and enabling a high-performance, inclusive culture. The Senior HRBP will lead initiatives across talent management, workforce planning, change leadership, and employee engagement, partnering closely with HR Centers of Excellence and HR Operations to deliver scalable, tech-enabled solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with leadership to design and execute people strategies that enable business growth, innovation, and transformation.
Act as a trusted advisor on leadership effectiveness, team dynamics, and cultural alignment.
Lead org design projects to optimize structure and scalability in a technology-driven environment.
Coach leaders through periods of rapid growth and change, ensuring engagement and retention.
Facilitate talent reviews and succession planning for critical technical and leadership roles.
Champion diversity and inclusion in hiring, development, and promotion processes.
Manage complex employee relations cases with fairness and compliance.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and psychological safety.
Advise on competitive compensation strategies for tech talent, partnering with Reward COE.
Lead workforce planning to support growth areas and optimize resource allocation.
What You Need To Succeed
Progressive HR experience, with significant time in an HRBP role supporting senior leaders in a complex fast-paced organisation.
Proven experience in technology sector or similar fast-paced, innovation-driven environments.
Strong background in organization design, change leadership, and talent management.
Knowledge and/or experience with AI—including its implications for workforce planning, skills development, and organizational change.
Knowledge of UK employment law; experience with multi-country HR practices is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field; CIPD Level 7 preferred.
