Sports Coach & Teaching Assistant - SEMH SchoolLocation: CreweContract: Temporary to PermanentSimply Education are working on behalf of an outstanding SEMH school to recruit a passionate Sports Coach who wants to make the move into education and support pupils both inside and outside the classroom.This is an exciting opportunity for a Sports Coach who is ready to use their expertise to inspire children and young people, helping them develop physically, emotionally, and academically. You will work with pupils who have experienced trauma, supporting them in classroom learning as well as through engaging physical activities and sports sessions.What You'll Do:Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups to access lessons and develop key academic skillsSupport sports activity sessions outside of the classroom as a Sports Coach to build confidence, teamwork, and resilienceHelp pupils manage emotions and behaviour in both classroom and physical activity settingsBuild trusting relationships and create a safe, structured, and nurturing environmentWork alongside teachers and pastoral staff to implement individual support plansWho We're Looking For:Experience as a Sports Coach and a desire to move into an educational settingCalm, patient, and resilient approach with excellent communication skillsA passion for helping children and young people develop personally, academically, and physicallyUnderstanding of trauma-informed approaches is desirable but not essentialWhat's on Offer:Temporary to permanent position with long-term career opportunitiesA supportive and experienced team committed to making a differenceOngoing training in SEMH, trauma-informed practice, and education skillsThe chance to make a real impact on pupils' learning, wellbeing, and physical development If you are interested in working in this school setting, please click apply by submitting your CV.
