Get out what you put in This role is based at Laveneder Lodge School. Lavender Lodge school resides within an 18th Century building in the heart of Mitcham. Our pupils come from many different boroughs to attend our school and are lucky to experience ‘a life changing love of learning.’ We are proud of our pupils and our dedicated team and pupils leave us with a sense of achievement. Our clinicians are a crucial part of the most joined-up model in SEND. Across all of our specialist schools and children’s homes, we provide unrivalled levels of clinical support, both in terms of our expertise and breadth of provision. Our young people present with a complexity of need including developmental trauma, neuro-developmental conditions and special educational needs.

As part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team you will be supporting educational and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments and, based on clinical assessment and formulation, offer individualised interventions and engagement to our young people. You’ll also be assessing our young people’s mental health and recommend appropriate interventions in a personalised care plan. Building rapport is key, by doing this you’ll be able to deliver effective counselling and feedback on progress.

Be a specialist with proven skills and experience to engage and deliver therapeutic interventions with children and young people with complex needs

Be a confident, engaging and effective, model, guide, leader and trainer.

Be highly organised and ready to take the initiative

Be committed to ensuring the best outcomes for young people

Be a member of a multi-disciplinary team, receiving regular supervision and supported in your CPD

Have lengthy sector experience and a background in team supervision are all vital

Be a car driver, as there’s some travel involved
