Specifications Technologist - Food

Overview We are recruiting a Specifications Technologist to join a leading food manufacturing business in Grimsby. This role is offered on a fixed term basis to provide cover, with the possibility of extension dependent on business needs. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance and timely completion of product specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Sense-check product specifications against customer policies and internal requirements Create and manage fish product specifications using the internal specification system Coordinate specification workflows through internal approval processes Manage external approvals via customer portals (full training provided) Maintain accurate records and documentation Liaise with internal teams and customers to resolve queries and ensure specification accuracy Support the technical and QA teams with documentation and compliance where requiredIdeal Candidate We are looking for someone with previous experience in a specifications, QA or technical role within a food manufacturing or factory environment. Strong administrative experience with excellent attention to detail will also be considered.
