Im recruiting on behalf of a highly established and forward-thinking electronic security contractor that operates at the highest end of the secure and custodial sector. Due to sustained growth and multiple new contract wins, they are now looking to appoint a Specialist Security Project Manager to oversee the delivery of complex, high-security projects across the UK.
This is a senior, trusted position working within a specialist security delivery team, supporting projects where reliability, compliance and attention to detail are critical. Youll be working alongside experienced professionals in a business that genuinely invests in people, training and long-term development.
The Opportunity This role focuses on the management and delivery of secure-sector electronic security installations, including work for blue-light and custodial clients where security is paramount. Projects include new builds, technical refreshes and upgrades across highly regulated environments.
Although the business has a central HQ in South Wales, projects are delivered nationwide, and flexibility to travel is required.
Key Responsibilities Full lifecycle project management of specialist electronic security installations
Oversight of access control, CCTV and associated safety systems within secure environments
Managing installation teams to ensure quality, compliance and programme delivery
Providing technical oversight and support (training provided on specialist platforms where required)
Liaising with principal contractors, consultants and end-clients
Working closely with commissioning, installation and service engineers
Managing change control, variations and project risk
Identifying system improvements and opportunities for additional services
Ensuring compliance with health & safety and construction regulations
What Theyre Looking For Proven experience managing security or construction-based projects
Strong commercial awareness with solid budgeting and cost control skills
Excellent organisational and planning ability
Confident managing change, pressure and tight deadlines
Strong leadership and communication skills
Proficiency with project management tools and IT systems
Sound understanding of health & safety and construction legislation
Project management qualifications or experience (PRINCE2, APM or similar preferred)
IOSH or NEBOSH advantageous
Experience delivering data networks, servers or workstations beneficial
Access control experience with enterprise-level platforms advantageous
Experience with nurse call systems desirable
Full UK driving licence (company vehicle provided)
Ability to pass Police Vetting to NPPV3 level essential
Willingness to travel and stay away as required across the UK
