Job Title: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) - Full Time
Location: Stockton and Surrounding areas Salary: Competitive rate depending on experience Hours: Term Time only Mon to Fri 8.30am till 3.30pm
About the Role: Empowering Learning are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our supportive team. This is a full-time position, working 5 days per week, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs to help them achieve their full potential in a nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with special educational needs Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities Support pupils with emotional, behavioural, and social development Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff Promote independence and confidence in all pupilsRequirements:
Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs (essential) A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to commit to full-time work (5 days per week) Must hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to purchase one prior to starting Must be able to provide the last 2 years worth of professional work referencesWhat We Offer:
