About the Role
We are currently seeking a caring, patient, and dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to support pupils in primary schools across Chester. This role involves working closely with children who have Autism (ASC), ADHD, and a range of learning difficulties, helping them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
Support children with Autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties, tailoring support to individual needs
Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
Support pupils with social, emotional, and communication development
Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
Liaise with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals when required
Requirements
Experience working with children with Autism, ADHD, and/or learning difficulties (school or care setting)
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine xehkeey passion for supporting children with additional needs
Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support are desirable but not essential
