This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced kitchen that prides itself on fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced food . The menu is ever-evolving, combining hearty classics with globally inspired dishes — all executed to a consistently high standard.
The Role As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to deliver an exciting and high-quality food offering while helping to lead and inspire the kitchen team.
You will be:
Supporting the development of a modern, seasonal menu
Taking an active role in menu creation and dish development
Leading the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
Ensuring smooth, efficient service in a high-volume environment
Maintaining exceptional standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation
Training, mentoring, and motivating junior team members
About You We're looking for a chef who brings energy, creativity, and strong leadership:
Proven experience in a busy fresh food kitchen (gastropub experience ideal)
Passion for seasonal ingredients and quality cooking
Confident in leading a team and running service
Organised, calm under pressure, and detail-focused
A genuine love for food and developing new ideas
