Im currently working with one of my standout clients: a well-established, independent gastro pub in South East London , renowned for serving exceptional, seasonal food in a relaxed but high-quality setting. This is a brilliant opportunity for a talented Sous Chef who wants to work with great produce, a supportive leadership team, and a kitchen that genuinely cares about standards. The Role As Sous Chef, youll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, working closely with the Head Chef to deliver consistently outstanding food. Key responsibilities include: Supporting the Head Chef in leading a busy, food-led kitchen
Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
Assisting with menu development using fresh, seasonal ingredients
Managing and mentoring junior chefs
Ensuring food safety, hygiene, and kitchen organisation are always on point
The Ideal Candidate My client is looking for someone who: Has experience as a Sous Chef (or a strong Junior Sous ready to step up) in a gastro pub or quality restaurant
Is passionate about fresh food and modern British cooking
Thrives in a fast-paced but well-structured kitchen
Is a natural leader with a calm, professional approach
Wants to be part of a long-term, stable team
Whats on Offer £45,000 £50,000 salary (depending on experience)
