Whether it s a relaxed lunch, an evening with friends or a special occasion, our team works together to ensure every guest enjoys a great experience from the moment they arrive. We re now looking for a confident and motivated Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen and helping drive the quality, standards and consistency that define Embankment Bistro. As Sous Chef at Embankment Bistro, you ll play a key leadership role in the kitchen, working closely with the Head Chef to deliver dishes that are fresh, well-presented and full of flavour. You ll help oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, support the wider team during service and ensure the kitchen continues to run smoothly, professionally and efficiently. This is a hands-on role for a chef who enjoys leading from the front, takes pride in their craft and thrives in a busy hospitality environment. You ll be an important part of maintaining high culinary standards while helping build a positive, organised and motivated kitchen culture. Supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen Helping maintain quality, presentation and consistency across the menu Assisting with ordering, stock control and kitchen organisation Supporting and guiding junior chefs to help them develop their skills Ensuring the kitchen is fully prepared for service and operating efficiently Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, safety and cleanliness at all times Helping manage service during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail Taking pride in every dish that leaves the kitchen Previous experience as a Sous Chef or a strong Chef de Partie ready to step up A genuine passion for cooking and working with quality ingredients A positive, team-focused mindset with strong kitchen communication Good knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety and best practice WHY JOIN EMBANKMENT BISTRO At Embankment Bistro, we believe great kitchens are built on teamwork, energy and pride in the craft.
