We are seeking a passionate and talented Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at our beautiful boutique hotel located just outside the historic city of Bath.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious chef who enjoys working with fresh, seasonal ingredients and delivering exceptional dining experiences in a high-quality, guest-focused environment.

About the Role

As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to support the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring consistently high standards across restaurant service, private dining, and events.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Head Chef in leading and motivating the kitchen team
Maintain exceptional food quality and presentation standards
Assist with menu development using seasonal, locally sourced produce
Oversee kitchen operations in the Head Chefs absence
Ensure food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards are met
Manage stock control, ordering, and waste reduction

About You

Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous ready to step up
Passion for fresh, modern British cuisine
Strong leadership and organisational skills
Calm under pressure with excellent attention to detail
Knowledge of kitchen health & safety procedures
