Job Description The Sous Chef at theBarber-Surgeons Hall will work hands on for the operational productivity of the kitchen department and its operational standards.
Salary: £45,000
Full time contract
Key Responsibilities:
To ensure weekly hall menus are developed and improved upon on a regular basis.
To oversee and assist in the preparation and presentation of all meals and service across Events.
To oversee, manage and lead catering functions.
To organise sections stock and ingredients, both preparation and stock holding.
Keep record of food production volumes, waste, stock holding and food cost concerns.
To assist the Executive Chef and Head Chef with future menu creations.
To manage and motivate the team.
Qualifications Be driven by people and delivering the highest quality of food.
Exemplary kitchen management practices and being an ambassador for Searcys legacy brand.
Innovative and inspiring culinary ideas for events and restaurant menus.
Create a professional working environment for the team ensuring that company standards are maintained and that Client expectations are met.
Previous experience as a SousChefin Events, Hotels or Restaurants.
