Mission As the Solvency Risk Manager UK, your mission is twofold – ensuring operational excellence while being at the forefront of risk management framework development. Your key responsibilities include: Responsibilities
Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of our UK branch’s risk management framework, including policies, risk register, risk appetite, and key risk areas. Shape the ORSA process for our UK branch, including suggesting and preparing risk scenarios. Support and embed capital modeling, stress and scenario testing. Ensure capital calculations are appropriate for the UK entity risk profile. Contribute to the smooth running of risk management operations within our UK business, ensuring the integration of risk concepts into daily activities. Contribute to key decisions, such as strategic planning, capital, and liquidity. Continuously develop and enhance our UK risk framework to ensure consistency and operational effectiveness. Provide risk management information, risk analysis, and risk training to key governance forums within our UK operation. Maintain risk mapping in relation to the control results of our company Group. Improve the tracking of operational incidents and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) activities. Cultivate an effective working relationship with Wakam SA Risk Management function. Ensure reporting of risk management activities to the group.
Qualifications
Actuarial academic background. Significant insurance experience in the UK in a similar risk management function. Experience in setting regulatory capital requirements, including working with the Standard Formula. Strong understanding of relevant UK regulatory requirements. Experience working with local brokers and MGAs is a plus. The ability to work at both strategic and detailed levels, with a hands‑on approach to ensure operational excellence. Positive energy, agility, and team spirit essential to support Wakam in its hyper‑growth.
