Working as part of a wider Private Markets Transformation initiative, this is a crucial role, ensuring that M&G has the right architecture and solutions to enable scalable growth within this high-growth area.**Key Responsibilities**Architecture* Review current Real Estate application and data architecture to determine alignment with broader Private Markets target architecture.* Design the Real Estate target architecture and architectural roadmap, ensuring that it aligns with the broader target architecture for Private Markets and Asset Management.* Design and provide guidance over the development of Real Estates data domain, ensuring in alignment with the wider Asset Management Data Strategy and Private Markets Transformation.* Work with the Enterprise Architect for Asset Management, contributing to the overall target architecture for the Private Markets Data Platform.Solution Design* Design and review solutions within Real Estate and the wider Private Markets investment desks, ensuring they align with architectural principles.* Provide guidance and consultation for Business Analysts, Software and Data Engineers, and project managers.Strategy* By designing the Real Estate target architecture, you will be making a significant contribution to the Investment Technology strategy.* By collaborating with the Asset Management Technology and Change teams, you will help to ensure alignment of solution implementation to target architecture.Delivery* Project lifecycle management - Input into the strategic aspects of projects and solutions* Provide Technical and Business Subject Matter Expertise on a broad range of topics across Real Estate and Private Markets, including knowledge on enterprise applications and custom software developed solutions.**Requirements and Experience**This role is ideally suited to someone who can demonstrate:* Deep understanding of Asset Management Business and Technology with a specific background in Real Estate and wider Private Markets.* Previous experience of working with Real Estate Asset Management platforms such as Yardi Voyager, Argus (Enterprise, Developer, and Taliance).* Working knowledge of cloud-based data platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake.* Understanding of key data engineering infrastructure concepts and patterns such as relational databases, data lakes, ETL pipelines.* Excellent data modelling skills.* Experience supporting different phases of Solution architecture delivery from initiation through to implementation.* Demonstrated knowledge of the solution development lifecycle and system development approach.* Strong facilitation, presentation and communication skills* EA Repository experience with an industry leading EA tool e.g. SNOW APM, UPMX and Designer desirable, but not necessary.* Excellent attention to detail* Ability to work with assumptions rather than all facts* Good communication skills* A flexible and adaptable approach* Build good relationships internally and externally* Ability to work within a team environment* Effective analytical skills* Client and delivery focused* Good planning and organizational skills* Effective problem-solving skillsWhat we offer:At M&G, we’re committed to helping you thrive and supporting your wellbeing, both at work and beyond.
