Modernization Solutions Architect – BFSI | London

We are seeking a senior Modernization Solutions Architect to join a leading Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI) client in Central London.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role focused on modernizing legacy systems, enabling cloud- architectures, and implementing AI-driven solutions across enterprise technology stacks.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead large-scale application and database modernization programmes for BFSI clients Design solutions across mainframe, midrange, and distributed systems Leverage AI and cloud tools for automated code analysis, refactoring, and modernization Collaborate with senior stakeholders, technology, and cross-functional teams Architect scalable, resilient solutions using microservices, APIs, and event-driven patterns

Candidate Requirements:

Deep hands-on mainframe expertise (COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, batch jobs, legacy integrations) Strong architecture and solutioning skills, with the ability to map legacy systems to modern platforms Proven experience delivering large-scale modernization programmes Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills Experience leading multi-team or multi-vendor modernization initiatives Collaborative, adaptable, and able to guide teams through complex transformation

Salary: £120,000 + bonus + benefits
