Solution Architect - Pre Sales / Application EngineeringWe're partnering with a global technology consultancy to find a technically strong Pre‑Sales Solution Architect with deep expertise in Application Engineering and a proven track record in pre‑sales environments (RFP/RFI).This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology and business‑shaping complex solutions, influencing client decisions, and driving high‑value engagements.You will be based in the UK with regular attendance to the London office.The OpportunityYou’ll work closely with sales and client stakeholders to define and articulate innovative solutions across key areas of application engineering, including:Application ModernisationAugmented Engineering (AI‑enabled development)Composable PlatformsCustomer Experience solutionsFrom early‑stage discovery through to formal bid responses, you’ll play a pivotal role in positioning differentiated, high‑impact solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the technical pre‑sales process, including RFI/RFP/RFQ responsesEngage with clients to understand business challenges and translate them into scalable technical solutionsDesign end‑to‑end architectures across modern application engineering landscapesDevelop compelling proposals, solution narratives, and architecture artefactsSupport and deliver client presentations, workshops, and technical demonstrationsCollaborate with sales, delivery, and partner teams to shape winning propositionsEnsure solutions are commercially viable, technically robust, and clearly differentiatedWhat We're Looking ForCore Experience:Strong background in Solution Architecture within application engineering or software development environmentsProven experience in pre‑sales, specifically responding to RFPs/RFIsDeep technical knowledge across modern application architectures and cloud‑native technologiesExperience across one or more of: application modernisation, composable architectures, customer experience platforms, or AI‑driven/augmented engineeringAbility to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholdersStrong stakeholder management and presentation skillsExperience with major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and modern engineering practicesExposure to AI/GenAI in the software development lifecycleWhy Apply?This is a high‑impact, client‑facing role where you’ll shape strategic deals and work on cutting‑edge application engineering solutions.
