Strategic Bid Architect / Pre Sales Solution Architect / Bid Solution Architect / Bid Architect - Solutions This is a pivotal role in shaping, validating, and presenting complex digital, data, and AI-enabled solutions that are commercially competitive, architecturally robust, and operationally deliverable. Acting as the senior solution leader, the role is accountable for designing and governing advanced, cloud-native, and data-driven architectures for strategic, complex, and high-value bids, showcasing our clients digital design ethos and technical excellence. Working closely with the Growth and Business Development teams from the earliest stages of the bid, the Strategic Bids Architect ensures that the digital and technology elements of each solution are expertly crafted, exploiting emerging and advanced technologies to drive innovation, efficiency, and measurable improvement in customer outcomes. Lead the design of end-to-end digital and AI-led architectures for large and strategic bids, integrating cloud, data, and intelligent automation. Translate business and outcome requirements into integrated technical blueprints covering AI, analytics, applications, integration, and security. Define and communicate the digital and data architecture vision - including use of generative AI, ML platforms, and automation accelerators. Balance innovation with cost efficiency, delivery feasibility, and risk. Poor user experience leads to downstream costs in delivery, staffing, and data reliability-far outweighing initial build or operational savings. Shape the digital transformation narrative within proposals, highlighting AI-driven differentiation and measurable outcomes. Commercial and Delivery Awareness - The architect must understand the commercial levers of bid success-how technology choices affect win probability, delivery margins, and long-term contract sustainability. Collaborate with Pricing and Commercial teams to quantify value and justify ROI for digital and AI investments. Digital Architecture 10+ years designing large-scale digital transformation solutions - including AI, data platforms, and cloud architectures. AI & Data Expertise in AI/ML platforms (Azure AI, AWS SageMaker, Google Vertex AI), data governance, analytics, and responsible AI practices. Cloud & Integration Strong understanding of hybrid and multi-cloud architectures, APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems. Commercial Insight Ability to align technical innovation with commercial strategy, value realisation, and delivery feasibility. Frameworks Knowledge of TOGAF, AI governance frameworks (ISO/IEC 42001, NIST AI RMF), ITIL, and Agile methodologies.
