Contentful's Solution Architects are primarily outward-facing, acting as trusted advisors to technologists, developers, content creators, and project or product managers. As a Solution Architect at Contentful, you'll collaborate with international teams post-sale, working with visionary brands and innovative digital agencies. Your technical guidance and product expertise will help customers make informed decisions and achieve success with their projects. Travel to on-site visits is expected to be up to 25%.

What to expect?

1. Create and deliver technical enablement on product platform features, providing consultative advice and recommendations on specific implementation use cases.
2. Identify and propose comprehensive solution designs to complex business problems after customer discovery sessions.
3. Stay updated on Contentful product developments and synthesize these into best practices, workshops, and enablement materials for customers.
4. Create prototypes or code examples to facilitate customer onboarding and support projects.
5. Maintain a foundational understanding of related technologies and industry trends.
6. Gather and communicate customer feedback to Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing teams.
7. Support engagement managers in quoting and scoping SOWs.
8. Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Solution Engineers to ensure a successful customer experience.
9. Continuously improve your professional skills through training, reading, and mentorship.

Minimum requirements:

• At least 2 years as an SA or 4 years in a similar customer-facing role (e.g., technical consultant, solution engineer) at an API-first SaaS company.
• Experience with microservices-based architectures.
• Experience with digital experiences beyond the web is a plus.
• Basic developer skills in Javascript ES6, Ruby, Node.js, .NET, Swift, Java, Python, or PHP.
• Experience with modern JS/React frameworks (NextJS, NuxtJS, Remix, Vue, Angular) and web rendering technologies.
• Experience with content management systems and headless CMS architecture.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple engagements.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and persuasive skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
• Fluency in English and German.
