Solicitor - Quality & Risk - Bath - 3+ Years PQE Location: Bath Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (35 hours per week, hybrid flexibility) Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 (depending on experience) A respected law firm is seeking a Quality & Risk Solicitor (or other regulated professional) with 3+ years' post-qualification experience (or equivalent) to join its busy and well-established Quality & Risk team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a collaborative environment with a strong focus on compliance, professional conduct, and client service. Role You’ll be responsible for providing first‑tier advice and support across the firm on professional conduct and compliance matters, including:
Advising on regulatory compliance, risk management, AML legislation, and conflicts management Working closely with the Quality & Risk team, COLP and COFA to analyse complaints, claims, and breaches, assisting with remedial action Supervising and advising on escalations from the centralised Onboarding team Drafting and maintaining guidance, policies, processes, and precedents Supporting internal training on best practice, legislation changes, and regulatory compliance Liaising with regulators alongside colleagues Keeping up to date with professional, legal, and best practice developments
Candidate Requirements This role is suited to a qualified solicitor or equivalent professional with:
3+ years PQE (or equivalent experience) in a similar compliance/risk role Strong knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory regimes, including:
The SRA Handbook Anti‑Money Laundering legislation Bribery and Data Protection legislation
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to explain complex issues clearly to different audiences Strong planning, time management, and organisational skills Confidence in influencing and interacting constructively at all levels of the business A collaborative, team‑oriented approach
