Location: Bath
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (35 hours per week, hybrid flexibility)
Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 (depending on experience)
A respected law firm is seeking a Quality & Risk Solicitor (or other regulated professional) with 3+ years' post-qualification experience (or equivalent) to join its busy and well-established Quality & Risk team. Role
You’ll be responsible for providing first‑tier advice and support across the firm on professional conduct and compliance matters, including:
Advising on regulatory compliance, risk management, AML legislation, and conflicts management
Working closely with the Quality & Risk team, COLP and COFA to analyse complaints, claims, and breaches, assisting with remedial action
Supervising and advising on escalations from the centralised Onboarding team
Drafting and maintaining guidance, policies, processes, and precedents
Supporting internal training on best practice, legislation changes, and regulatory compliance
Liaising with regulators alongside colleagues
Keeping up to date with professional, legal, and best practice developments
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor or equivalent professional with:
3+ years PQE (or equivalent experience) in a similar compliance/risk role
Strong knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory regimes, including:
The SRA Handbook
Anti‑Money Laundering legislation
Bribery and Data Protection legislation
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to explain complex issues clearly to different audiences
Strong planning, time management, and organisational skills
Confidence in influencing and interacting constructively at all levels of the business
