Solicitor – Construction – Cardiff – 4+ Years PQE Location: Cardiff (with hybrid flexibility) Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time Salary: £55,000 to £80,000 + Bonus The Role You’ll be responsible for advising a broad client base—including developers, contractors, consultants, funders and public‑sector bodies—on a wide range of construction matters, including:

Drafting and negotiating JCT, NEC, FIDIC and bespoke construction contracts Advising on procurement strategy, risk allocation and regulatory compliance Supporting project delivery and contract administration Managing disputes involving defects, delays, payment issues and professional negligence Acting in adjudications, arbitrations, mediations and TCC litigation Collaborating with Real Estate, Corporate, Banking and Commercial teams Preparing legal submissions and supporting partners in complex disputes Contributing to business development and internal training initiatives

Candidate Requirements

4+ years PQE in construction law (UK‑based) Strong experience in non‑contentious construction work Experience or genuine interest in contentious construction matters Excellent drafting, negotiation and analytical skills Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to problem‑solving Strong interpersonal and client relationship‑building abilities Enthusiasm for mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to team development
