Job Description

Astute's Renewables team is partnering with a key business and influential player in the global energy market. The company have a vast portfolio of renewable energy assets and have a brilliant company culture of looking after their employees. We're looking for a Level 3 qualified Electrician, ideally with solar experience, to cover Exeter and the surrounding areas.\n\nThis Field Service Technician comes with an excellent salary, depending on your experience, with the chance of overtime but with a work-life balance being key for the client.\n\nIf you're wanting to work for a genuine major player in the global energy space with growth potential, please read on and apply below.\n\nResponsibilities and duties of the Field Service Technician role \n\nReporting to the Field Service Team Leader you will:\n\nEnsure the best performance of large-scale renewable energy assets\nPerform operations and maintenance duties across the portfolio of solar and battery storage sites\nEnsure adherence to all HSE requirements when completing your duties\nTest both DC and AC systems, looking for faults and tracing issues\nConduct firmware updates and use computer systems to look for issues with the assets\nConsistent inspection, maintenance and testing of the systems\nLooking for trends and using data analysis to see if you can spot any common trends and suggest ways to improve operations as a result\nOccasional assistance with tasks such as solar panel cleaning, some ground maintenance and site CCTV\nOccasional working way from your patch/area and be flexible to help when the business needs this\n\nWe are looking for someone with the following:\n\nAt least a level 3 qualification in electrical installation\n2391 test and inspection is hugely \nAny health and safety qualifications are a benefit\nFull UK driving licence\n\nPersonal skills \n\nThe Field Service Technician role would suit someone who:\n\nEnjoys being on the road visiting sites\nSomeone who enjoys fault-finding and maintenance rather than installation\nWants to contribute to the renewable energy industry \n\nSalary and benefits of the Field Service Technician role \n\nSalary up to £40,000 depending on experience \nPrivate health cover\nLife insurance\nCompany van and fuel card (and can be for personal use)\nCompany pension\n33 days holiday inc.
